    Innovation Challenge 2026 · Private RAG Assistant

    Ecosystem Smart Niederbayern · Use Case 13 for Specific-Group Germany · kick-off in Landau with all teams, then a 24-hour build with a team of seven in Specific-Group's Landshut office

    • Built the fully self-hosted variant of a compliance assistant for banks: 50 regulatory PDFs, 12,186 chunks, hybrid BM25 + BGE-M3 search, an open-source LLM inside the bank's own infrastructure.
    • Every statement in an answer points to a file, section and page; questions the documents can't answer get an honest refusal instead of a guess.
    • Covered in the regional press. Landshut's Lord Mayor Thomas Haslinger visited the team during the 24-hour build.

    Working student, board bring up & diagnostics software

    Nokia Solutions and Networks · Network Infrastructure, Optical Networks · Nuremberg

    • Built a Python MCP server inside pControl, so LLM tooling in Cursor could reach Jira and the diagnostics suite: run test pipelines on real hardware and investigate failures from a prompt.
    • Specified and built a lab network monitor from scratch: anomaly detection against each link's normal behaviour, with email alerts.
    • Wrote an FCT log parser that generates the test lists for nightly regression runs, replacing a manual step.
    • Migrated the legacy Mapfile system to an object-oriented Python implementation.
